Day 1 of KL Trip

Today marks my first day alone at KL.

Reached Changi Airport at 5.30am and had a nice hearty breakfast with my hubby. He accompanied till it was time for me to bid farewell. Parting was the hard part as usually he would be the one traveling overseas to work and it only merely 1-2 weeks duration. This time, it's my turn and I'm jolly well will be away in faraway land for 1 month; how about that.

The flight was scheduled to departure at 8.35am and boarding time was around 7.55am. Armed with a 8kg hand-carry, I left the place I called home with a heavy heart.

Journey here was a fast one, with the speed of almost 800+ km/hour, I reached the destination within 55 minutes time.

Traveling around in a nation whom mother language ain't English can be quite a chore; thank goodness that I was traveling with a fellow colleague whom is a citizen of Malaysia. I guess, if without her presence, I will still be strangled in the airport, trying to find the exit. Hahahaha.

It took us around 45 minutes from the airport to reach our staying place. It's a pretty high class and nice living place. Will upload the pictures at a later time. After which, the fellow colleagues brought us around to buy the necessities and guided us along the way to find food to fill our stomach. The malls here are HUGE and it has a lot of labels in them. Exhaustion and a slight of homesickness made my legs refused to obey my instructions to roam around the malls and enjoy myself.

Right now, lying in this small single bed with no entertainment except my laptop, it makes me wonder how would I be able to survive for the next 29 days. I have to thank god that the least thing I would need, will would be the wireless services the apartment provides.

Alright for now, it's time for me to hit the sack while my colleagues are out in the living room, planning for aftermath events.

Cockles. Never in my life I could put this creature into my mouth.

Had a hearty dinner with the usual at Boon Lay Market few weeks ago. As an appetizer, they ordered cockles to start the meal with. I seriously do not know what's so nice about cockles and to think of the way they live and fed on, it seriously turned me off.

The way that this plate of cockles is been served is pretty simple. Boiled. And the best part is, it is not even evenly cooked.. A demonstration of how-to-eat-a-bloody-cockles was given by Jimmy. It stinks and it is really bloody but then, Jimmy seems to love every tiny bit of it. Hahahhaha

Boiled cockles are sold at many hawker centres in Singapore and are used in laksa, char kway teow and even steamboats. Cockles are sold freshly cooked as a snack in the United Kingdom, particularly around the parts of the British coastline which are inhabited by cockles. Boiled then seasoned with malt vinegar and white pepper, they can be bought from seafood stalls, alongside mussels, whelks, jellied eels, crabs and shrimps. Cockles are also available pickled in jars, and more recently, have been sold in sealed packets (with vinegar) containing a plastic two-pronged fork. A meal of cockles fried with bacon, served with laver bread, is known as a traditional Welsh breakfast.

I have repeatedly telling my friends that consumption of raw cockles can be linked to hepatitis but no one seems to believe me.

My favourite and they are the MUST order dishes when I visit any hawker centres. =D

And like others, i get tired of living life.

The monotony can be tiring. Sometimes, i just want to give up, drop everything, and run away. Trap myself in a cocoon and be selfish. I stand up, akimbo, stare at the sky again. The leaves are rustling. The sun is twinkling. I've had my three minutes of peace. Now i can go back and face the world. And when the pressure's too much to handle, i'll go back to my little corner, my escape from the tumult, and i'll stay there until my mind has cleared. rejuvenation. sometimes, i just need to runaway...

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 year old son picked a stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench.

Had a nice meet-up & dinner with Jackson, my beloved poly mate from TP. It was already 2394-2938490823904 years since I last saw him in school. Jackson is a nice and humble gentleman, a typical sort of the guy-next-door.

I got to confess to this, i fucking hate gossip folks with a passion. Why? Because they are just so fucking pointless and irrelevant that it is beyond me why anyone even pays attention to them in the first place.

Location? Workplace.

Very rarely do I contribute to the gossipsphere unless I have to. These people simply simulate the real world in that they sit on the sidelines and talk about other folks' lives while those people go ahead and actually do shit. It is like... what the fuck?! People that gossip have no guts to talk about people to their face, thus the reason why they tend to just do it behind their backs, GOD, IT JUST FUCKING SICKENING TO ME. It's funny though how people that gossip and spread rumors most of the time are the ones who don't like to talk about themselves? Have you ever noticed that? Gossip queens/kings never ever talk about themselves because they are afraid that you will do to them what they do to everyone else, it's so fucked up how that work's isn't it?

I really fucking hate rumors, I mean seriously I have no respect for people who gossip and spread rumors about other people without any knowledge of the real truth, or even if they know the truth, why do you feel the need to have to tell the entire world about it, just to start trouble? What personal satisfaction do you get, out of the fact from YOU, talking bad about other person? You are actually telling other people that you can't be trusted with any form of personal information because.. YOU.ARE.A.LOUD.MOUTH.

Then there are the people who not only gossip but twist the words and truths around just to make the situation seem that much worse, I seriously fucking hate that so much about people. I hate people that talk gossip to me about other people whom I fucking don't even know; Do I really even need that information?

Because your fucking life is miserable, it does not mean that you will have to go ahead and make everyone's life fucking miserable.

Everyday I give you something that just blows you away but it's complete honesty. If I'm thinking it, I will say it, at times, Yes, it might sound rude and inappropriate, But shit needs to be said.. Well, for me, that's just how I feel. I hate talking behind peoples backs, I feel as if I can't say it to your face then I don't think I should say it behind your back. There is nothing worse then having someone come back to you and starting off a sentence with: "Guess what I just heard... so and so say..."

Please. Just don't expect much contribution to the he say/ she say nonsense from me. I care about my own life too much to give much of a shit about who's fucking who or who said this about this one or that one.

Went over Lot 1 with H and Stanley today. Really cannot imagine that we trio can really stay in that pathetic mall from 3pm+ till 8pm+. Hahahaha. Tons of eating, walking, window shopping.. It's a great day to waste.

Creamy Ice Cream With One Ingredient

I cannot believe it myself either when I read this recipe. How could it be possible when the world's favorite can be hacked and made by using only 1 ingredient.. and this ingredient is no other than...

BANANAS!

Below will be the step by step instruction to make it happen:

1. Pick a couple of ripe bananas. They should be sweet and soft but not too mushy.

2. Peel the bananas.

3. Cut them into coins.

4. Freeze the banana pieces for at least an hour or two.

5. Frozen hard.

6. Put the pieces into a food processor or blender.

7. Blend on high. Initially they will look crumbly and piecemeal.

8. The mixture will probably get stuck a lot. Keep scraping down the bowl.

9. Suddenly, as you keep blending, you will see a change.

10. The bananas turn creamy.

11. Now is the time to add a scoop of peanut butter or anything else you care to mix in.

12. The ice cream will be the texture of soft-serve, but if you freeze again in an airtight container, it will get harder and more like regular ice cream.

It's a pathetic Saturday night for me; everyone should be all fully dressed up and getting ready to party their way off on a typical Saturday night, and here I am, sitting in front of my 21" IMac with a 26" LCD TV as a companion. Yes, I'm at home! and it's home alone!

H has just left home to work offshore again, for xx days. Yes, no confirmation on the number of days he works nor when will he be coming back.

Nevertheless, had this crave of ice-cream and was just surfing around aimlessly in the webs, somehow I was lead to this pretty exciting kitchen site; fully illustrated, fully detail explanations and even provide step-by-step instructions to make the dish.

I am never a fan of pets, most probably is it due to lack of those sort of unconditional tender, loving, care that stops me from having a pet since young. Not even spiders ok.

Based on the video posted, it is utterly sick and cruel. Dog, it owns its life and it should not be treated like how it is in the video. I don't believe in retributions and I would not want to assume how the woman will be in future.

If you want to own it, own it as if it's your kid; mind you, it's a life we are talking about.

Unhappy Day

Sometimes, I really don't know how to counter Man's ego; it always ended up with unhappiness, armed with hatred and tears.

I scalded my thigh in the car, not knowing that the carrier which contains hokkien noodles we had packed for mum was leaking. Basically, my inner thigh was almost cooked and you know, if pain was excreted on the sensitive part of your body, you will definitely feel turbo painful to the maximum. And yes, I could not bear the sudden sharp pain on my thigh and there I was, tearing and seeking for comfort.

Instead of checking whether I was alright, H went all out and started to clean the car seat I was seated at and also the carpet. At that instance, I felt that I couldn't be compared to a... car? There he was, cleaning up the leakage from the noodle on a non-living vehicle but there I was, sobbing in tears. Unknowing the whole situation and the pain level on my thigh, he raised his voice and questioned me for crying out loud for such small issue.

My heart simply shattered.

Post Wedd Anniversary Dinner

Had a hearty post wedding anniversary dinner with H at Kimly Live Seafood, located at TradeHub 21. Due to commitments of H's working schedule, we actually missed the chance to have a nice meal on our special day. But nevertheless, it's the company that counts isn't it? Hurhurhur.

Kimly Live Seafood is located at a foodcourt in Tradehub 21. By evening time, the stalls at foodcourt are closed to make way for Kimly Live Seafood zi-char like business. It's a non-airconditional place but due to it's warehouse-like ceiling & huge entrances, it actually made the place very airy & cooling. Total damage for 4 dishes including a 1.3kg crab: $120; pretty worth the money & the food there is well decorated & fresh.

Well, this is the 1st time I'm inking my finger. Initially, feedback from fellow peeps were pretty bad; as hands are delicate area made of bunch of tiny bones, with only the thin layer of skin covering it.. can you imagine how tender it is?

But then, H & me got Lionel, our dearest friend to ink our anniversary. Good experience.. It wasn't that painful after all. After doing the first, my mind was planning about the 2nd, the 3rd, and the 4th. hahahahhahahahah
